My in home newborn sessions are baby-led, gentle, and completely unhurried.
There’s no pressure for your baby to sleep, no expectations, and no rush. As a newborn photographer in Hobart, I follow your baby’s cues, allowing time for feeds, cuddles, settling and breaks whenever needed.
These sessions focus on connection - the way your baby fits perfectly in your arms, the quiet moments between you, and the love that fills your home during these early days.
With this style, the ideal time for a newborn photoshoot is between 1-3 weeks while bub is still sleepy and can easily be wrapped and settled. We usually pencil in your newborn session for 10-14 days after your due date. I then check in a few weeks before your session to make sure they arrived on time.
Whether you’re first-time parents or going back for a second or third, you’ll never regret capturing this precious time.
Every newborn session is thoughtfully designed to feel calm, flexible and fully supported.

I take a limited number of newborn sessions each month to ensure flexibility around due dates and every family receives my full care and attention.

Please note, a session deposit of $150 is required to secure your session date and time. This deposit is non-refundable, and bookings are not confirmed until this payment has been received.
Travel within 30 minutes of Hobart CBD is included as standard with all packages. Additional travel fees will apply to locations beyond that.
The balance of your package is due 7 days prior to your session. Once you have received your gallery, you can upgrade if you wish.
Selected images are professional edited and delivered in both colour and black & white. Your print credit can be used towards any product in your online store, from professionally printed gift prints to beautiful, framed artwork for your home. Prints start from $5.
My best value package includes a maternity and newborn session, capturing your whole journey to parenthood.

It’s best to enquire during pregnancy. Your session is then pencilled in around 10 days after your due date. Your session date and time confirmed once baby arrives.

Newborns are best photographed in the first 1–3 weeks, when they’re still tiny and sleepy.
Sessions can take place up to 6 weeks, but older newborns tend to be more alert and awake, which leads to a slightly different experience and outcome.
I recommend pencilling in a date around 10 days after your due date.
Ultimately, there is never a bad time, so it really comes down to what you and your family feel comfortable with.

My newborn sessions are designed to include the whole family, so siblings, both parents and even fur babies are welcomed and encouraged.

Most newborn sessions are held in the comfort of your own home, especially if bub is under 2 months old and it’s during the colder months.
If the session is to take place in your home, together we can select a couple of rooms that have nice large windows and plenty of natural light.
If you’d prefer an outdoor session, I have a number of favourite spots that vary in style and location, and I work with you to select someone that resonates with you.
If you have a special spot in mind, I will always try to accommodate that and am happy to travel (additional travel expenses may apply).

Newborn sessions are intentionally slow and relaxed, usually lasting 1.5–2 hours, allowing plenty of time for feeding, settling, and cuddles.

Of course - there’s never a bad time to capture gorgeous of your baby! I have limited spots available but will work with you to find a suitable time.
